General Information

ICHRPI Membership

Historians and political scientists interested in any aspect of the history of representative institutions are warmly invited to join the Commission.

Our membership subscription is at present 30 euros a year: paid-up members receive free copies of the journal Journal Parliaments, Estates and Representation, which is published twice a year.

How to join the Commission

a) Membership information for countries where we have National Convenors:

In many countries we have National Convenors who collect annual subscriptions and arrange for the distribution of various circulars, including copies of this journal. In countries where we have National Convenors, members pay their subscription directly to the convenors, who will supply details of the exact amount required in the national currency; they should also complete the membership form and return it to the Secretary General (contact details below) and a copy to the National Convenor with their payment (please ask the National Convenor to know the amount in the local currency).

b) Membership information for other countries:

Members in other countries should pay 30 euros (netto) directly to the ICHRPI Account No. 255.267 L1 V, Union de Banques Suisses, 1 Place St François, 1002 Lausanne, Switzerland, notifying the Treasurer (Prof. Dr. Gerald Kohl, Department of Legal and Constitutional History, Faculty of Law, University of Vienna, Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna Austria (Europe) – gerald.kohl@univie.ac.at) that they have done so and sending him the form contained in this section duly completed.

Subscriptions fall due on 1 January each year.
